Nature offers us a rich variety of quality gifts to help us care for our beauty. To remove the bags under the eyes try the following few homemade recipes.
Brew 1 tablespoon of chamomile flowers in one cup of boiling water for 10 to 15 minutes. Dip cotton balls in solution and apply to eyes for at least 15 minutes. This popular recipe also helps with eye inflammations. Brews of linden flowers and dry or fresh peppermint leaves have a similar effect.
You can mix chamomile with tea, so have 1 tablespoon of black or green tea brewed in a cup of boiling water and add to it a tablespoon of dry chamomile flowers. This can be used as a compress (see above).
Birch leaf brew is also very helpful for puffiness and swelling of the eyes. Dip 5 or 6 fresh birch leaves in 1 cup of clod mineral water and leave overnight to soak. They can also be scalded with hot water and left to soak for only 2 or 3 hours. Strain and use cotton balls to apply solution to eyes. Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes at least.
Potatoes, although a wonderful means for prevention of dark circles, are also helpful for the removal of puffiness and bags under the eyes. The easiest way is to put circles of peeled and cleaned raw potatoes on your eyes and leave for 20 to 25 minutes. You can also shred one potato, mix it with equal amounts of dill and parsley and apply to eyelids for about 20 minutes. Make sure to cover with gauze. Naturally, all these procedures are done in a laying position. For a greater convenience, you can use boiled and pureed potatoes.
