Homemade apple facial masks

Nature has many gifts that we can use to make our skin fresh and bright. Apples contain a great variety and an admirable amount of vitamins and minerals. They also contain pectin, apple and citric acids, as well as different enzymes.
The acids in apples have a bleaching effect. Eat them often and you will have a beautiful healthy smile. Aside from being a healthy snack, apples are also good for your skin regardless of whether you consume them or use them in a homemade beauty product.
If you have a tendency toward oily skin, mix a few tablespoons of finely shredded apple, one egg white and one teaspoon of olive oil. Apply mixture to face and leave on for 20 minutes. Wash with lukewarm water.
If your skin is dry, finely grind one apple in a shallow dish. Cover with warm milk and steam for 10 minutes. Add oat bran enough to thicken. Apply while the mask is still warm.
For a nourishing facial mask combine one finely shredded apple and 2 tablespoons of cottage cheese. Spread on face and leave for 15 minutes.
