A tropical fruit, the avocado contains great amounts of nutrients good for the skin. It is rich in vitamins E, A, D, K as well as B vitamins. It also contains a lot of copper, iron and folic acid.

Homemade sour cream scrub mask

Mix ½ tablespoon of each sour cream and oat bran. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar (or crushed egg shells) and 1 tablespoon of milk. Use mixture as a regular scrub, applying it to the face with gentle massaging motions. Leave on for 10 more minutes and rinse with warm water.

Homemade raspberry lip mask

The mask bellow protects the lips from inflammations and aids the removal of dead cells.
Mash 3 or 4 raspberries with honey. Add a few drops of liquid sour cream to avoid irritation. Apply mixture to lips and leave on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with warm water and follow up with vegetable oil.

Homemade carrot scrub

A word of caution: this soft homemade carrot scrub can give your face a slightly tanned look and should be avoided by people with a pale complexion.
Mix equal parts of shredded carrots and wheat or oat bran. Add a little bit of warm milk to form a thick substance. Massage face with mixture for 2-3 minutes and rinse.
