When the pores of your skin are large and visible, it needs special treatment. If not, the pores will continue enlarging and facilitate the formation of blackheads.
In order to conceal and correct the pores, you need to use special cosmetic products and procedures, some of which should be appointed by a dermatologist.

  • Exfoliating face wash

It removes excess skin oils, dead cells and other particles obstructing the pores.

  • Microdermabrasion

This is a procedure, which stimulates the production of collagen and considerably reduces pore size, leaving the skin looking younger, smoother and healthier.

  • Alfa and Beta hydroxy acids

These acids cleanse the pores by removing the so called “cellular clutter” which consists of old dead cells. The alfa hydroxy acid is water-soluble while the beta hydroxy acid is fat-soluble, allowing it to penetrate deeper into the skin for a more thorough cleansing.
If you have pimples or skin rash, your exfoliant or tonic lotion should contain salicylic acid.

  • .Tretinoin

It also goes by the name of Retin-A. This is a vitamin A based medical product which facilitates the removal of blackheads, cleanses heavily obstructed pores and speeds the production of new cells.
You must consult a dermatologist for the intensity and duration of the Tretinoin treatment. Pregnant women should not use products containing vitamin A.

  • The secrets of the right makeup

Do not apply foundation to the area where enlarged pores are present. This will only accentuate them. However you may use powder or blush to improve skin color. Choose lotions which contract the pores even if you are not currently suffering from rashes, pimples or other skin problems.
Often enlarged pores are connected with another health problem, so it is advisable to consult a professional cosmetologist or dermatologist. In order for this problem to be permanently resolved, the work of the oil glands should be normalized with the correct treatment.
