After a certain age, facial skin starts to lose its beauty and radiance. After the 35th year, a woman’s skin becomes more and more dry and loses its elasticity. This is the time when deep wrinkles first occur and the effects of the environment become clearly visible.
Not everyone has the means or inclination for constant plastic surgery to correct the consequences of aging. There are however alternative methods – rejuvenating masks. In order to be efficient, they have to be applied at least three times a week.
One such mask is made from flour and egg yolk. Mix well one tablespoon of flour with one raw egg yolk until a thick homogenous cream-like substance forms. Apply to skin for 20 minutes. If substance is too thick, dilute one teaspoon of lemon juice in a cup of water and add as much as necessary. This mask smoothens and nourishes aging skin.
The sour cream and carrot masks also have a very good effect on facial skin. Mix two teaspoons of fresh carrot juice with one raw egg yolk and two tablespoons of sour cream. Blend well and apply to face and neck area for 30 minutes. Rinse with room temperature water. This mask prevents the formation of new wrinkles and nourishes fading skin.
For rejuvenation use a mask with honey and egg yolk. Use real organic bee honey without glucose or sugar additives. Mix one teaspoon of dark honey or honeydew with one raw egg yolk and ½ teaspoon of olive oil. Add 10 drops of lemon juice and one teaspoon of oat bran. Instead of oat bran you can also use finely ground oatmeal. Apply to face and neck area and leave for 20 minutes. This mask not only rejuvenates, but also cleanses and regulates the skin’s hydro balance.
A fruit mask will nourish facial skin and supply it with vitamins. In order to make it, finely chop oranges, strawberries, lemons, peaches, watermelon or any other combination of fruits and apply to face for 20 minutes. Rinse once with warm water and then with cold.
Also a rejuvenating effect can be achieved with a mask of sunflower seeds. Grind three tablespoons of shelled sunflower seeds into a paste. Add two teaspoons of honey and dilute with a little water. Apply to face and neck for 20 minutes. Rinse with a warm brew of chamomile blossoms.
